Dr. Terrence Wadley is a board-certified emergency medicine physician with over 20 years of clinical experience in the Greater Houston area. He currently serves as a Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at UTMB Health, blending frontline care with academic leadership.

A Chicago native, Dr. Wadley graduated magna cum laude from Morehouse College with a B.S. in Biology, earned his M.D. from Case Western Reserve University, and completed his emergency medicine residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.

He has served in key roles at hospitals such as UTMB Clear Lake, Houston Methodist, and North Cypress Medical Center, with expertise in trauma, cardiac emergencies, and complex medical crises.

Recognized for excellence, he has received honors including Physician of the Year from the Greater Houston EMS Council and multiple institutional awards. Dr. Wadley holds active medical licenses in Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona, and maintains certifications in ACLS, ATLS, and PALS. He is a member of ACEP and the American Academy of Emergency Physicians, dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality emergency care and mentoring future clinicians.

Dr. John A. Bertelson, MD, FAAN, is a board-certified behavioral neurologist, nationally recognized expert in Alzheimer's disease, Lewy body dementia, and other disorders of cognition, and serves as Principal Investigator at Senior Adults Specialty Research. With more than 20 years of experience in neurology and clinical research, he has dedicated his career to advancing the diagnosis and treatment of neurological and cognitive disorders while providing exceptional patient care throughout Central Texas.

Originally from Houston, Texas, Dr. Bertelson earned dual undergraduate degrees in Chemical Engineering and Biochemistry from Rice University before receiving his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He completed his neurology residency at the Mayo Clinic and pursued advanced fellowship training in Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry at Harvard Medical School/McLean Hospital, as well as specialized training in Neuroimaging at the Dent Neurologic Institute.

Since beginning his neurology practice in Austin in 2003, Dr. Bertelson has become a respected leader in both academic medicine and clinical research. He currently serves as Associate Professor of Neurology at Texas Tech University School of Medicine and Assistant Professor of Neurology and Psychiatry at The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School.

Dr. Bertelson has extensive experience as a clinical investigator and has participated in numerous clinical trials spanning acute stroke therapies, neurodegenerative diseases, and disease-modifying treatments for Alzheimer's disease. As a member of the Senior Adults Specialty Research leadership team since 2016, he continues to play a key role in advancing innovative therapies and expanding research opportunities for patients with cognitive and neurological disorders.

Dave is passionate about healthcare innovation and creating systems which enhance clinical quality and empower patients to actively participate in their own care. He is a former system level chief health officer and was the medical director of a highly successful accountable care organization (ACO). As a practicing emergency physician, he understands first-hand where systems of care fail and what they need to succeed. He is regularly asked to speak at national conferences on healthcare innovation and the transition to value-based care.

A self-proclaimed professional student, Dave earned his MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a medical degree from the University of Southern California, an engineering degree from the United States Air Force Academy and is board certified in both Emergency Medicine and Pediatric Emergency Medicine. When not obsessed with redesigning healthcare, Dave can be found spending time with his family and doing anything outdoors – hiking, running, scuba diving, skiing, boating and more. He has three grown children, one dog, four cats, and a wonderful wife named Kris!
