Nutrient Therapy, Explained

Why Deliver Nutrients Intravenously?

Intravenous nutrient therapy delivers essential vitamins, minerals, and amino acids directly into the bloodstream, achieving concentrations that oral supplements simply cannot reach.

The Bioavailability Advantage

Bypassing the Gut

When taken by mouth, many nutrients are tightly controlled by the digestive system. Oral vitamin C, for example, plateaus at roughly 220 µmol/L in the blood — even at the maximum tolerated dose.1

Intravenous administration bypasses this control entirely. The same 1.25 g dose reaches about 885 µmol/L intravenously, and a 50 g IV dose can approach 13,400 µmol/L — up to 70× higher than oral limits.1,4

Peak Plasma Vitamin C: Oral vs. Intravenous

Equal 1.25 g dose. µmol/L measures how much vitamin C is circulating in your blood — IV reaches levels oral dosing cannot.

The Original Formula

The Myers' Cocktail

Developed in the 1970s by physician John Myers, this blend of B-vitamins, vitamin C, magnesium, and calcium remains the foundation of IV nutrient therapy.3

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid)

Antioxidant; immune & collagen support

2,500–7,500 mg

B-Complex vitamins

Energy metabolism

1–2 mL (≈100 mg)

Vitamin B12 (hydroxocobalamin)

Nerve & red-blood-cell function

1,000–5,000 mcg

Magnesium chloride

Muscle & nerve relaxation

1–2 g

Calcium gluconate

Bone & cellular signaling

0.5–1 g

Sterile saline / water

Hydration carrier

30–500 mL

Doses are typical ranges and vary by provider and individualized patient need. A modified Myers' cocktail is common.3

Our Protocols

Nutrient Infusions We Offer

Wellness classic

Myers' Cocktail

The classic micronutrient blend of B-vitamins, vitamin C, magnesium, and calcium for energy, immunity, and recovery.

Immune support

High-Dose Vitamin C

Concentrated ascorbic acid to achieve plasma levels only possible intravenously, supporting immune function and antioxidant defense.

Cellular vitality

NAD+ Infusion

NAD+ is a coenzyme your cells use to make energy. IV NAD+ supports your mitochondria (the cell's power plants), cellular repair, and healthy aging.

Antioxidant

Glutathione

The body's master antioxidant. IV delivery bypasses digestive breakdown to raise blood levels directly.

Recovery

Amino Acid Blend

A blend of amino acids — the building blocks of protein — for muscle repair, recovery, and metabolic support.

Energy

B12 / Energy Boost

A focused vitamin B12 infusion for fatigue, nerve health, and red-blood-cell production.

What the Research Shows

Research Highlights

In a placebo-controlled pilot study of the Myers' cocktail for fibromyalgia, the IV micronutrient group showed meaningful improvements in pain, mood, and quality of life after 8 weeks — a clinically significant change on a standard fibromyalgia questionnaire.2

Pharmacokinetic research shows oral vitamin C is tightly controlled (peak ≈ 220 µmol/L even at maximum tolerated doses), while IV administration reaches up to ~13,400 µmol/L at a 50 g dose — roughly 70-fold higher.1

NAD+ levels decline with age; restoring NAD+ in lab studies improved how cells produce energy, the health of muscle stem cells, and markers of cellular repair.5

Oral glutathione is largely broken down in the digestive tract, whereas a 2 g IV infusion significantly raises blood levels of glutathione; short-term improvements in Parkinson's symptoms have been reported with daily IV glutathione.6

What to Expect

Relax, Restore, Replenish

Nutrient infusions are delivered in a calm, private suite over 30–60 minutes. Settle into a recliner with refreshments and Wi-Fi while our nursing team administers your personalized blend. A provider referral may be required for certain protocols.
